This little tomato is early and produces 3-4 ounce fruit on compact, dwarf vines that yielded till frost. We received this mild-tasting Iraqi variety from our friend Aziz Nail who said, "Delicious one, useful for any purpose, strong bush plant cultivated in the south of Iraq in cool greenhouses for late spring or early summer markets. Also it is [grown] in the middle and north Iraq without greenhouse."

What are the pros? Wind resistant early producer.

What are the cons? Not a large volume producer.

Review:

This tomato is great for high winds! We bought seeds 5 years ago and have been able to keep planting this gem year after year. They survive those late May hail storms and stand up to the high winds at a friend's farm in Waseca. They are perfect for MN summers.

We have tried these tomatoes for a couple of years, hoping for the best. The plants are a petite plant, compact. Tried them in a couple of places, but they never produced to our satisfaction. Won't grow them this year, opting for a more successful product. We live in western Virginia.

Review:

2011 was a difficult year and this tomato was disappointing. Being an Iraqi selection I expected it to perform better in the hot drought driven summer. It was a no show. Plants were bushy but set virtually no fruit. What it did set was variable and unremarkable flavor wise. No reason to repeat. This was the 2nd year of planting and 2010 was also a poor performer.

love this one. Very short, compact plant that always produced when the other tomato plants didn't. Thank you to aziz nail for saving this tomato

Review:

Grew well in our locale SE MI (zone 5B). sturdy plant minimum staking until heavy set ,with fruits producing until frost kills. sweet & acid balance good. used for fresh in salads, sandwiches & overripe in cooking. If i had to grow only one this would be a contender. Reminds me of the one english outdoor tomato "gardeners delight". But Al-Kuffa grew better here in SE MI.
