What are the pros? Beautiful, sweet, good size

What are the cons? none

Review:

This was our first year growing this variety. We usually grow regular old orange carrots, but thought we'd give these a try. OMG! They are fantastic. Slow to start (like all carrots) and do take a while to grow (like all carrots) but they are soooo worth it. Super sweet, yellow/pale yellow in color. Good size carrots too. Nice and straight as well. This is our new favorite variety and we will grow more again this year.

What are the pros? brilliant color, yield

What are the cons? mild flavor

Review:

The plot we planted these carrots in was so densely loaded with carrots that we are assuming nearly every seed germinated this year. My husband and I agree that these carrots have a mild "carrot" flavor, but not bland. This is his favorite, but I still prefer a more robust carroty flavor. The golden color made sweets made with carrots extra special... golden carrot cake, golden carrot jam, etc...

What are the pros? color, fairly easy to grow

What are the cons? taste

Review:

The seeds germinated well and the plants grew fine. They seem to be a little later than a nantes variety I had growing next to them. The big disappointment was the bland taste. The color was a cool yellow, though.

What are the pros? sweet and juicy

What are the cons? none

Review:

I just harvested a few of these Dec. 30th from my unheated greenhouse (zone 5). They are very sweet and juicy. I had given up growing carrots due to our clay soil, but I thought these might do well in the raised beds in my greenhouse. I don't know how they would do with Spring planting, but for Fall they have held up wonderful and are a nice treat.
