What are the pros? Good quality Casaba type

What are the cons? none

Review:

After reading some of the other reviews I did not have high hopes for this melon. I was very pleasantly surprised to the quality of this variety. I grew about 6 casaba types this year and this melon stood out as the best. Firm, sweet, greenish flesh with that refreshing casaba flavor. Uniform size 8 lbs, keeps well on and off the vine. Ripens over a fairly long period. Early to mid season variety, grown at 2200 ft. in northern California.

What are the pros? Good keeper, nice flavor

What are the cons? none

Review:

Grew these on the south side of my house in zone 4 Wisconsin. They stayed around 5lbs in size but grew a couple on each vine & became a much brighter golden yellow than the pic displays. Not the standard melon flavor I'm used to, but good & sweet. The centers are packed with seeds so they are excellent for savers! Will grow again!

Review:

These melons were great, but the taste just wasn't anything to get excited about. Came off kind of like weak Honey Dew. The taste wasn't bad - just not very strong. They're very plentiful. Good size melons, and seemed to thrive better than average in my garden this year. They do ripen late, and the only decent indicator seems to be the melon color and whether or not the skin is "fuzzy". I tried various stages of ripeness thinking maybe I missed the sweet spot or something, but I just couldn't find one that had a taste with enough merit to make it worth growing again next year when I could be trying something new in it's place.
