What are the pros? Flavor, great producer

What are the cons? none

Review:

I live in zone 8b @ 2600 ft elev. First try for Ananas Melon in my garden. This year all melons seemed to have trouble germinating on time. The Ananas however are heavy producers once started. I should have heeded the last or first reviewers comment about the ripening of this wonderfully delicious melon. They stay green looking until they are dead ripe. Then overnight it turns to a light netted color more like a generic cantelloupe and the stem falls off by itself. If you don't find it and eat it right away it will start to decompose. The first one I found that was ripe I luckily noticed the morning it had changed color. I went to pick it up to see if it was ripe and the stem was not attached to the melon? So I took in the house. The next day about 10AM I went into the house to find my wife had the melon 3/4 eaten and the biggest smile on her face. She started laughing. She said it was sooooo gooood that she couldn't stop eating it once she started. Give it a try.

Review:

The first year I grew this was hard. Not because of the melon but because I did not know my soil. I took all my vines and left over dried strems and burned in my sandy fire pit early in the spring. Later in May up pops a green plant that turned into this Ananas melon plant. Just one plant gave me 15 melons. Some where I have pictures but it was beautiful and the best melon I have eaten ever.

Review:

We grew this melon for the first time and loved it. The taste is very sweet. If picked when over-riped or cracked the taste is overwhelmingly sweet. We also love the look if the white fresh with the orange tinged inner layer. A definite must for next year.

Review:

We planted this Ananas Melon late in the season. We started harvesting in late August and now in late October, we still expect to harvest 4-5 more melons. The taste is exceptional. The best tasting muskmelon that I've ever had. The only down side is that this melon need to be watched carefully. One day the melon is not quite ripe, and two days later it has split.
