Larkspur is so pretty that children often just can't resist touching them, but even brief contact with the flowers or leaves can irritate the skin. it's packed full of potent alkaloids. I think that they should tell you that this is a very poisonous plant BEFORE you buy it. I decided not to use those in my garden, considering I have a two year old that likes to help me plant them! My real surpise was that they did not label the Apple Blossom Larkspur as being poisonous!! Only when I went online to see how it was grown did I realize that it was poisonous too!!! Though unlabelled as such. Good thing I checked!!!!! The thought of my kid putting these seeds in his hands and then one getting stuck or accidentally going into his mouth is truly frightening!!!!
