What are the pros? Loved the heat
What are the cons? none
In the Phoenix, AZ area, I sowed directly in my raised bed during my late spring planting. They all came up and were nice compact plants that took a little while to start producing but once it started...no stopping these little eggplants! I get handfuls every few days! They are LOVING the heat when nothing but my okra is still alive. They have produced for many weeks now. My only advice, keep an eye on them and don't wait until they get 'big'. They will yellow and harden if you are expecting a medium to large eggplant. I pull these when they are egg size.

A brilliant Indian eggplant, this was very fun to grow. The eggplant was delicious. Very highly recommended, a must have for anyone wanting traditional indian eggplants!

Planted this eggplant summer of 2012. Very productive and tasty eggplants. Have been growing eggplants for a few years now, this was the best tasting of them all. Will definitely grow again. Tall bushy plants, laden with fruits. Good variety to grow

I ordered this variety to give it a try, along with Rosa Bianca and a couple of others. I started the seedlings for Arumugams and Rosa Bianca at the same time, roughly two weeks ago. So far I've had a 100% sprout rate with the Arumugam's. The seedlings are strong and now about 2 inches in size. Will update after they reach producing size.
