What are the pros? Tasty
What are the cons? None
Amazing carrots. I planted them directly in a small patch in the far corner of my garden in mid June. Before planting I fertilized the soil with general organic fertilizer. Once I saw sprouts, I supplemented them once with fish emulsion fertilizer. After that I never watered them out of laziness. At the end of August I harvested medium (6" Length) to huge (1ft) carrots. The color ranged from light orange to deep red. The flavor was powerful and I actually started coughing while eating one of them.
The season was cold and wet (Northern MA). I plan on growing these every year.

What are the pros? Beautiful color
What are the cons? none
These are a must have for my carrot garden. I love the rich color; almost a deep coral tone. Matured at the same rate as all my other carrots, and are nice sized at 8"-10" long. Mine look just like the picture! I highly recommend!

What are the pros? very rich flavor
I grew 10 varieties last year and this had the best flavor and shape. The deep red color completely saturates the carrot -some reviewers say it doesn't but every Atomic I've grown for the past 3 years has. My favorite thing about this carrot is the flavor is so insanely intense, it's almost SPICY! When I first tried this carrot it got me thinking- what other flavors are out there that I've never tried? Thus began my love affair with heirloom seeds. I blame it all on the Atomic Red.

What are the pros? Best tasting!
What are the cons? Not all carrots sprouted
One of the best and sweetest carrots I've grown. Will definitely grow in my garden every year. Zone 6a.

What are the pros? great taste
I got these carrots to test against my normal carrot I plant to see which I liked better. These are by far way more tasty than the variety I was growing previously. Every seed grew as well, which unfortunately I accounted for some not producing and so had them too close together, but even at that, they came out great!
