What are the pros? every seed sprouts healthy
What are the cons? seedling stretches, top heavy
I planted these in a peat moss based soil to start them out, in the warmth of early summer. They popped up in about two days and are growing quicker than all the other seeds planted at the same time next to them: basils, dandelion, peppers, amaranth, marigold. About two weeks now, and they are about 3 inches and on the second set of true leaves, growing quicker every day.
I thinned them and ate the thinnings, and they are delightful; like slightly tart mild spinach.
In contrast to the other reviewer, I find that they are growing quite quickly, and sprout nearly instantly.
I'll try to post another review with my experience with mature plants, but I wanted to get this review in because in contrast to the other reviewer, my experience has been very positive. I feel guilty giving it so many stars right up front, but if my experience changes I'll try to balance them out with the next review.
The darker greens seem to grow large quicker then gold, followed by reds.
