What are the pros? Very easy read.

What are the cons? Page 40

Review:

Not sure the comments on GMO corn on page 40 are dead on because legally, no corn has been proven to be cross contaminated with transgenic varieties. In that case the company producing them would be legally liable and like I said, there are no proven cases to this day. So, a claim that a variety is contaminated with GMOs is a strong one without legal proof backing it up. I am sure Monsanto would like to know where they are more than anyone else, since that is intellectual property they arent making a profit on. The varieties the book points out could very well be mixing with hybrids and other variants, but not necessarily GMOs

---Who knew that a non-fiction/how-to book could be a page-turner; this one is! The need-to-knows are written in a narrative that places the reader in the comfort-cozy living room of the authors' home, chatting over a cup of chamomile tea, as they reveal simple secrets of a successful heirloom garden.

Review:

Was traveling through Petaluma ca in March 2013 and spotted the Seed Bank store, stopped in and an hour later I was hooked on heirloom seeds. I bought 14 packs of seeds and took them home and started them in doors. This week our first vegetable garden has yielded our family amazing peppers, Tomatillos, tomatoes, squash just to name a few and several herbs. My husband bought me the book for my birthday in April. I have read it twice and now use it as a reference guide. I own many flower and garden books, this is now my favorite. We were not aware of the issue of GMO until we visited CA to see our son who recently moved there. We are spreading the word and trying our best to support a GMO free garden and life style. I shared the seedlings I started with several friends and they are also enjoying the harvest of the plants This week.
