This old petunia was popular with gardeners throughout much of the first part of the twentieth century but has nearly been lost to cultivation because of seed companies' interests in selling newer varieties. This variety has delightfully fragrant blooms in shades of rose, lavender and purple. Trailing plants are perfect for adding color and fragrance to window boxes and hanging baskets.

What are the pros? Gorgeous and easy to grow
What are the cons? Take a while to sprout
The best money I have ever spent on flowers. They have been in my window box several seasons now. They just keep going and going and going. Gorgeous too,

What are the pros? Scent
What are the cons? Upright growth habit
I've found that if you leave the container they're planted in out where the rain can hit them they do drape down. Otherwise they do get rather tall. The scent is absolutely fabulous.

Lots of heat here in WI this summer, compost and water caused these to grow about 3 ft tall next to the garden fence. awesome ... produces lots of flowers and lots of seeds.. buy it once and you will more seeds than you could ever need. Water is the key to these.

These flowers have such beautiful colors and tons of flowers! I planted them in my window boxes and in my flower beds. It's true that they do get tall and do not drape down- but it's also true that they smell wonderful! These have been great fillers for both the flower beds and window boxes. I've found that in one of the flower beds which doesn't get any afternoon sun, the plants fill out more instead of getting super tall. I will definitely be looking forward to these again next year!

These petunias are fragrant and beautiful. The endured a mild Texas winter without damage are are now in their second year and the first to bloom this spring. They make excellent hanging baskets and are just as at home in a large pot or bed. The flowers are huge and dainty, vibrant and beautiful!
