We're thrilled to offer this classic, sweet wax pepper that has been grown by generations of gardeners. Sleek, tapered fruits reaching 6-7" long, 2" wide, are a translucent ivory color when immature, ripening quickly to stunning red-orange. Superb in pickles or stuffed, in salads, and more. A treasure!

Review:

Since I was 6 years old I have been growing Banana Wax peppers and this one just keeps performing as it did in the past. It's an mid-season cultivar that produces 20 pods per shrub when taken care of properly. Plants reach upwards of 40" and branch out later when main-stem production wanes. I have always enjoyed growing this one and cannot see why I shouldn't keep down this path. The only difference I noted this year was that some of the plants were producing 9" narrow peppers and others were producing the traditional giants I am use to under the same growing conditions. No matter, it is still a great beginner's and intermediate pepper.

Review:

I am so glad to see this old pepper in your selection. This is one of the first peppers I ever grew back in the early 70s and my mother-in law grew them for years before that They are also one of my favorites. These were a staple in her house for pickling and eating fresh. They have a wonderful taste and are easy to fry up for eggs and peppers in the morning, or any other dish.
