What are the cons?
Vigorous plants with great color. Like any basil, keep the top leaves picked when they start to cluster close together - that means it's about to flower and the taste will change for the worse. Perfect time to pick some for drying for the winter. When dried the leaves are almost black. People who tried my tomato-mozzarella-basil salad said that the Ararat basil was sweeter than the genovese.
