Review:

Grew Emily for the first time this year. It grew well in my zone 8 garden. I made plenty of pesto, saved seed, and dried enough to refill my spice bottle for the winter. Nice!

What are the pros? Short and bushy

Review:

First year growing Emily Basil. Started from seed indoors. Transplanted and thinned down to 3-4 plants per 3" pot. Planted three of the 3" pots into 2 squares in my SFG. Love that this is a bushier style and pruning at the nodes only makes it bushier! Leaves aren't as big as when I grew the Genovese previously (at least I don't think they are). But the Emily looks great! Tastes great! Highly recomment if you want a shorter, bushier basil plant!

What are the pros? Did great in a pot, compact

What are the cons? nothing

Review:

I started seeds indoors under a lamp and then transplated them to little pots for my back yard. Once the weather warmed up the basil took off. I had so much basil I was making pesto and freezing it and drying it too. Before the frost hit I brought in the pots and they are actually doing good inside now on my window seal. All summer I constantly picked off any type of flowers and cut it down a lot to keep the plant short. Great plant I will def grow again.

Review:

First time growing basil. This is a lovely little plant that produces fragrant, flavorful basil. I ended up with 5 plants. My yield was big enough to not only meet all of my fresh basil needs, but that of several friends. I currently have the remainder of my basil hanging to dry. I will be growing this again.
