What are the cons? Flavor
This basil is super easy to grow. We have it in a raised bed with rosemary. Both do very well together. We planted it in early March in sw Florida. It came in really fast. But I had to pick it very young to get any with good, basil flavor. The leaves very quickly changed appearance and the flavor became bitter. They still smell marvelous, but I am not using them anymore for cooking. I have even trimmed and trimmed, but it doesn't seem to be making a difference. Next time I will try a different type. Also, we haven't had any insect issues with this. Keep in mind, I am new to gardening, so I am not sure if I am doing anything wrong to create this flavor, or if it just a matter of taste.
