Very strong, clove-scented basil. This heirloom is very popular in Thailand and is a very flavorful specialty variety

What are the pros? Smell and flavor

What are the cons? Needs shade in afternoon sun.

Review:

Easy to grow in a pot or transfer to the ground. Above 85 degrees, provide shade from afternoon sun. Grew large amount, all did well. Will grow every year.

What are the pros? Very flavorful, beautiful

What are the cons? Needs shade in TX

Review:

Not only flavorful but beautiful to look at, plus it produces a lovely flower when going to seed. A must in Thai cooking. I plan on growing it every year even though I had to give it shade in TX hot summers. Fall growing may may be easier in South TX. Does need good soil.

Has a great flavor, but watch where you plant it, I let it go to seed and I've had strong volunteer plants EVERYWHERE four years running now.

Review:

I grew this in my tomato garden last summer, and it was amazing! Very strongly flavored, it withstood a very hot, dry summer. Excellent in stir-fries and curries.
