A delicious, very sweet cucumber that is usually picked small and does not need peeling as the skin is very tender. This variety is very popular in the Mediterranean, having been developed in Israel at a kibbutz farm. Now becoming popular with Americans because of the fruits’ fine flavor and high yields. They are also burpless and have great shelf life.

What are the pros? taste, texture, production

What are the cons? short shelf life

Review:

These plants have done great this year so far and I"m still getting more cucumbers growing. They train decently with a little help, and I actually trained them up my sunflowers which has worked great. Great taste especially when picked small. The only thing I noticed was after they are picked it's best eaten the day picked. the skin gets wrinkly in the next day or so. Not a problem here though since my kids eat them all before I can put them in anything! I do have to peel them for my kids (2 and 3 yrs, a picky age) but for us adults no problem. First year planting at the new house so soil isn't great but these are doing great for not so hot soil.

What are the pros? Easy to grow, tasty, burpless

What are the cons? Honestly, nothing!

Review:

We were so happy with this mellow, sweet, thin-skin cuke that we consider it our favorite now, and can't imagine living without it! We caged the vine, had early flowering, and a huge yield on a single plant. This is what a cucumber is supposed to taste like! Small (5-7 inches) but packs a punch in pure clean cuke sweet flavor. We've made a cucumber and tomato salad, a cucumber "salsa", cucumber infused water, and love them sliced on a sandwich! I have absolutely nothing "negative" about this baby!!! The best I've ever tasted!! Definitely drying some seeds from these!!!

What are the pros? Everything

What are the cons? nothing to dislike

Review:

I planted these and a pickling variety named Double Yield this year. The Beit Alpha vines are easier to manage, seem to be setting more female blossoms and can be used for anything at any size. Next year I'm only growing these for both pickles and fresh eating. No spines, no tough skin, no bitterness. What's not to love?

Review:

This is my first time growing cucumbers. I'm an amateur gardener but these seeds made me feel like a pro. I had 100% germination and once these started producing, is like they've gone crazy! I have way more cucumbers than me and my immediate family can eat. They have a lovely taste and I can eat them like candy bars since the skin is so thin and nice. Everyone I have given some to loved them, and they almost always comment on how pretty the cucumbers are, haha. This is a wonderful variety of cucumber and these Bakercreek seeds are high quality.
