(Lycium barbarum) Chinese native also known as Wolfberry. The red fruits are sweet and packed full of antioxidants and other nutrients--rightly called a “superfood!” This relative of peppers and tomatoes is hardy to -15 degrees, F., prefers full sun and somewhat dry, well-drained soil. Plants reach to 6 feet tall and look stunning with their silvery, laurel-like foliage and small flowers like purple stars. Goji Berry should fruit starting in the second year after planting. 2 plants.

We are super excited to be offering a selection of live plants, these are produced for us by tissue culture, a natural process that produces plants that are generally high-quality and disease free. We have some stunning new food crops in our plant listing, we hope you will try some of the exciting rare plants we offer this year. Pre-order now, as supplies on some these will be limited. The plants we ship are small, but sturdy, and we offer a 30 day guarantee on live plants. Most plants will be 6”-12” in height. Plants will ship as available after the first of April to the end of June. We will ship orders to southern zones first. No guaranteed delivery dates. No orders shipped outside of the USA. No Extra shipping costs, just pay our regular $3.50. (PRE-ORDER PLANTS WILL SHIP AFTER APRIL 1, 2017)

What are the pros? Very hardy

What are the cons? None so far

Review:

I bought these last year, and never found a good place to plant them. They ended up getting left in pots. We had a long and early heat wave last year that seemed to take them out, but I kept watering them just in case they might come back. When fall came around, I still hadn't noticed anything happening, so I just left them out with a little straw over them for protection. I moved them to the greenhouse when I opened it back up last month and gave them a last shot, hoping they would make it. I didn't really think they would, they hadn't managed to grow at all last year and looked like a couple tiny dead twigs. But yesterday I noticed little green leaves starting! I re-potted them into bigger pots and saw that while they looked dead last year, they were clearly focused on root development and now have a good root system. I am impressed with their hardiness and cant believe the little twigs survived. If I ever decide to get a couple more, I would buy these again.

What are the pros? easy grow, superfruit!

What are the cons? none

Review:

a great plant. tons of berries within a short time of a few months. great flavor, and a great anti-oxidant. my two plants turned into three by a (good)mistake, i had one in a pot on top of a larger pot full of soil only, and the root from the goji went through the pot it was in and pushed its roots into the other pot. not knowing this happened, I picked up the goji off the pot, and the roots were ripped off from the larger pot. now the roots that were detached from the original plant have begun making an entire new goji plant! an awesome mistake! would definitely recommend this super-plant to everyone!

What are the pros? wow so easy to grow

What are the cons? astringent taste

Review:

Planted in April 2016. I ordered four plants which were all bearing fruit within 3 months! I was amazed. The flavor is somewhat astringent, so the longer they sit on the plant and ripen a lot the better the flavor. They had Gojis still on the plant in February 2016 in the middle of winter in my zone 9 garden.

What are the pros? Easy to grow

What are the cons? None

Review:

I ordered this and got it in the ground about May 2015. The order came with two plants so I put them next to each other in a small raised bed. One grew big immediately and the other I suspected may die for whatever reason but to my surprise it's still chugging along. It is quite a bit smaller than the other one but still green. Anyway, we have hot summers here (got up to 110 degrees in July) and these little babies didn't even seem to notice. They are very hardy. I figured I would let them grow and in about a year or more I would see some fruit...would you believe the healthy plant got to be 3 feet tall and had quite a bit of fruit on it in just 4 months?!?! I was pretty impressed. The fruits won't reach full maturity but I know they will be awesome this next summer. I trellised mine to keep it controlled and off the ground but that was just my preference. It's December 2015 now and the leaves are turning purple. Can't wait till summer to taste these sweet little gems!
