What are the pros? Grew easily from seed
What are the cons? Took forever to ripen
Was one of the 1st seedlings that grew when I planted seeds this year. But although the tall, thin vines hung heavy with fruits, it was also one of the last to begin ripening. If you taste the fruits when pale red, the taste is tart; if you allow them to turn deeper red, the taste loses its tart edge, although I would not call the tomato "sweet".
The skin is firm, with a juicy interior, and therefore the fruit feels like it almost "crunches" as it bursts between your teeth, which is kind of fun for a tomato.
The vine itself is purple, which gives it a distinct look among the other vines in my garden bed, and has seemingly been more resistant to fungus than neighboring plants after an unusually wet spring/early summer. If I grew this again, I would start the seedling indoors a couple of weeks earlier than other plants.
