What are the pros? Bountiful, delicious
What are the cons? Almost too bountiful
I'll be honest, I've never liked cucumbers. I grew these with the intention of pickling them and the Marketmore 76 for other household members to eat. They were grown in the same plot not even three yards away and were watered regularly. These won hands down over the Marketmores. Much higher yields, faster growing and more flavorful. I even liked these ones fresh! Made wonderful pickles and they were so plentiful that we were giving them away to neighbors, co-workers and sold some to a small local farm store supplying the community with local produce. The size is perfect for eating at one sitting so you don't have half a cucumber left over. When I pulled the vines at the end of the season to toss in the chicken run for composting I left the last cucumbers on for the hens. They loved them just as much as we did. Ordered more this year and skipped the Marketmores. Will be saving our seeds from this year's harvest. Definitely a winner.
