What are the pros? Prolific

What are the cons? Got rather woody

Review:

These okra took off and grew to probably 7 feet! The pods are such a pretty purple color, and good flavor. They become woody fairly quickly though, so be sure to keep harvesting them young.

What are the pros? Pretty. Few pests

What are the cons? Relatively unproductive

Review:

This variety was similar in size to Clemson, but was the least productive of the three varieties I grew this year. The pods are very attractive, but seemed to take longer to mature than the others.

What are the pros? best seller at farmers markets

What are the cons? itchy like all okra

Review:

Grows better in my truck patch than the clemson spinless ever thought about. This okra is sweeter and not neer as slimy as the clemson. I sell at farmers markets and get six bucks a pound for my organic okra. Hope you enjoy.

What are the pros? Tasty, very nice looking plant

What are the cons? Slower growing than other okra

Review:

I ordered this variety a few months back, mainly because of how nice the plants and seed pods looked. I planted them at the same time as the normal green varieties I like, and I noticed that they are a bit slower growing, but seemed to produce flowers a bit faster than the others. I had 100% germination success with the 10 seeds I planted. The pods are also softer for longer than the green ones, and it seems as if the taste is a lot more subtle so I find them better to eat fresh than any other variety I've grown. The plant itself looks amazing, the dark red adding much desired color diversity to my vegetable garden. Would certainly recommend to anyone who likes okra and wants to have a decorative and productive variety in their garden.

What are the pros? easy

What are the cons? none

Review:

Great looking plants and fruits. Hardy like all other okra varieties but a little shorter. May not produce as much as other types but a superb product with a beautiful appearance. Great for cooking or canning and adds a nice color to the garden and plate.
