We are proud to offer this heirloom variety from Burma (Myanmar). Large pods are tender, spineless, and finely flavored. The plants start yielding early and production lasts until frost.

What are the pros? Great producer

What are the cons? Nothing

Review:

This is the best okra I've ever grown. The plants grew quickly and produced some wonderful okra. It's a heavy producer and 4 plants gave me more than I could handle. When the pods got quite large and I expected them to be too tough to eat, I was surprised and delighted to find they were just right.

What are the pros? Does great in Missouri

What are the cons? taste

Review:

Does great if you keep weeds down until established, when producing you will have to pick every other day at least or the pods get too big. Had alot of side shoots with pods and they are easy to miss, overall if you want a producer this one delivers. Still like clemson spineless flavor better. I planted 42 of these burmese type in may and had okra growing out of my ears by july.

What are the pros? everything!

What are the cons? groundhogs agree

Review:

When I first moved here, I trialed tons of vegetables for many years to accomodate our difficult conditions. This variety beat everything else, hands down! Great flavor, can eat raw, less goey, easy to grow, bears when only 15" high here, tolerates all conditions so far. I love it that it can be planted late and still produce enough okra to make me happy! It can be fit in anywhere and still do very well. I have never had a disease problem with this plant. The only trouble is the groundhogs agree it is the best! This is now my reliable standard okra. Wouldn't plant any other now.

What are the pros? fun to grow

What are the cons? They won't grow through winter

Review:

This okra has become my favorite! produces quickly and in abundance. Good flavor and tender even when they get a bit large. We let a few grow pods grow with amazing results; huge decorative, conversation starters. Oh, and they dry well also.
