100 days. (C. moschata) An old favorite. Good yields with excellent-tasting, rich, orange-colored flesh. Great baked!

This is the perfect butternut squash!! Strong prolific vines produce above average yield of fruits. No problem maturing in zone 3-4. These squash have wonderful deep orange flesh that is smooth and buttery. Great keepers. Very versatile to cook with. This year I used them to make my "pumpkin" pies as my pumpkins did not produce well. Everyone said they were the best pies I'd ever made! I may not even bother to grow pumpkin next year. Can't go wrong with this one.

So prolific, easy to grow on trellis, and yummier than you can imagine! Real comfort food. I took one that was not compleeetely ripe, roasted, mashed, added olive oil, a tiny bit of butter, chunky salt and my friend and I went to heaven!
