What are the pros? Tall and prolific bloomers
What are the cons? So tall they fell over
These zinnias were beautiful in my garden last summer. I wish I had done an official measurement of their height. When upright, they were at least a foot taller than me, and I am 5'8". I planted them in my tomato garden and my tomatoes got bacterial wilt early in the season and died. The zinnias were thrilled! It might have been a problem if I had wanted them to be "normal" zinnia height. I should have staked them to keep them from toppling over, but aside from the challenge of mowing the lawn nearby, it didn't matter that they were growing sideways. The flowers themselves were gorgeous.
