(Ipomoea purpurea) A truly stunning mixed of two types of flowers. They come white with rose-pink or with purple-blue stripes! Amazing looking and sure to be the highlight of any garden. A hard to find variety from Europe.

What are the pros? Easy germination, shade-tolera

What are the cons? Nothing to dislike

Review:

Oh. My. Goodness! What a splendid array of colours! Not only is this species of morning glory beautiful, it also tolerates shade! The deep green heart-shaped leaves are lovely too. I was amazed at how the seeds readily germinated within just over a week of direct-sowing them in my little ghetto garden in downtown L.A. in an area where I have had trouble getting anything else to grow, and then proceeded to wind their way up a rather unsightly trellis cobbled together from scrap wood and wire and hardware mesh. I was further delighted to see them start to bloom in the entire variety of colours shown in the photo, dressing up a part of my little culinary garden that is normally a bit of a weedy mess. They even put up with scorching temperatures all summer and made their way up into the guava tree that shades that spot. Now a second generation is starting to climb and bloom, and the flowers are true to type, so this is a keeper I never want to be without!

Review:

Bought this flower for my husband, he loves flowers so very much. These were everything I'd hoped for and more. Besides being very easy to grow, they are such a joy to look at. Each blossom seems to have a color scheme all its own. They are bright and cheerful and my husband is loving them ever so much!
