This book was written by a well known and now deceased gardener that lived on a farm in Oklahoma. There seems to be some aspects of "rumor" or qualitative assuming going on in the text here and there. I'd still recommend this book to people, but I have my doubts about some entries, such as the one on Chamomile where she says that it is an excellent companion for cabbages and onions. Frankly, I didn't notice a bit of difference with the brassica or onions I planted close to the chamomile.
