New! 60 days. All America Selections winner in 1949. Here's an early bush cocozelle type, popular in Italy where they favor a rich, full-flavored zucchini. Fruits slightly club-shaped with mottled striping in olive-green and darker green. Can reach a fairly large size and still be quite tender and delicious as a summer squash.

What are the pros? Great taste

What are the cons? Does not look like picture

Review:

This is the first of many varieties in my garden to produce in Michigan. It does not look like the pic but there are many ones on one plant. Tonight we had my first one raw in a salad and it was incredibly delicious. Cannot wait to try them grilled..

What are the pros? great taste. very prolific,

What are the cons? succumbs to mildew easily

Review:

I really enjoyed growing this one. It was early and a great producer. I really loved the taste and it stayed tender as well. I will be growing this one next year. On a side not they all got powdery mildew make sure you living them plenty of breathing room, mine were overcrowded.

What are the pros? Pretty leaves Open bush habit

What are the cons? None

Review:

I ordered some costata zucchini seeds in 2009 but the fruit is not ribbed like it should be. What I get looks like the caseta. I don't care though as this squash is wonderful. The fruit are easy to find and prolific enough for my tastes. This year it is earlier than my yellow straight neck or yellow patty pan but tastier than both.

What are the pros? Grows fast and Tastes Great

What are the cons? None

Review:

First year trying this variety. Still not sure the difference between a squash and a zucchini but this variety looks more like a standard zucchini to me. Excellent flavor. Can't wait for the other varieties to be ready. I have a Baker Creek Heirloom vegetable garden this year and it all looks great.
