What are the pros? Kitties love it.
What are the cons? None
I put 4 bamboo stakes around my first year plant to keep kitties from flattening it out. They were able to lie down with their heads inside the staked area and really enjoy themselves. The second year, no stakes were needed as the plant was big enough for them to crawl under it. It also seeded some baby plants the second year. The dried leaves make a wonderful tea also.

What are the pros? Weed for Cats
What are the cons? Can be tender indoors
My cats do not stop licking my fingers after I rub them over the leaves. Because the plant is small, I have not given it to cats yet.
These require good light and the leaves are lovely looking.

What are the pros? happy cats!
What are the cons? none
My cats love their 'nip and this was the best I've found yet. After planting this in the garden they would even sleep in it. I worried that they would kill it by doing this... no. The stems took root where they were trampled and the plant just spread. A bed of 'nip makes for some very happy kitties!

What are the pros? cat magic
What are the cons? grew a bit slower than i thoug
I started some indoors on a windowsill and it didn't do very well. I think it needs a lot of light. They got leggy and died. I started some more outside and almost forgot about it until it suddenly got full and lush! Now I can pick a few leaves for the kitty on the way inside the house.

What are the cons?
My cat loves this catnip. I need to buy more though, because now she sleeps in it when she goes outside and flattens it out! It is very a fragrant and healthy plant.
