The first nematode-resistant bell pepper. Large, beautiful fruit are smooth and of good quality. A great pepper for the South or areas where nematodes are a problem. Attractive, compact plants produce fairly early. Developed by the USDA in Charleston, South Carolina.

What are the pros? Great big blocky peppers

What are the cons? no dislikes

Review:

Grew from seed and planted in a raised bed. It has produced big blocky peppers all spring and summer. Not sure about the nematodes until I pull up the plant, but it doesn't seem affected. I usually keep my pepper plants going for more than 1 year and usually get bigger peppers the 2nd year, but Charleston Belle were equally large. I hope the plant lives more than 1 year.
