What are the pros? Tender, mild, and delicious

What are the cons? none

Review:

It is January and I have had this Bok Choy under a plastic row cover sense fall. Very cold hardy! Though you can eat this crop in a variety of ways - I prefer it as a salad green, because it is so mild, crisp, and tasty.

What are the pros? Mild savory flavor

What are the cons? 80% of my seeds bolted

Review:

Very easy to sew direct in garden. I wondered what the yellow flowering plant was because I had not planted anything of that description. I tasted it straight off the plant stalk and was surprised to taste a mild bok choy, sure enough it was the Ching Chang. We had weird weather this year so will I try it again? Possibly, or may switch to one a little more temperature tolerant, not sure yet.

What are the pros? smaller variety

What are the cons? no real dislikes

Review:

Ching chang bok choi: Just fun to say! This bok choi was a hit in the garden. Harvested when small and young it is super in the kitchen and on the table. I found that it intercropped well as it matures quickly and keeps a clean, orderly presence in the garden. I found that it did bolt but not as quickly as other bok choi. Germination rates were quite high.

Review:

I had never grown bok choy before and was very happy with the wonderful, prolific crop I was able to harvest with only 2 rows planted! We were happily awash in bok choy for most of early summer. I will be growing this again; it's great! And tasty!

By far the best performer in our spring garden. Just waiting for it to cool off outside to grow some more.
