Finely flavored old standard that has a bright green top and yellow bottom, making these roots unique and colorful. Popular in France since the 19th century, it still holds a place with many gourmets and gardeners who love its rich taste.

What are the pros? Great food source in winter

What are the cons? none

Review:

In the older days when i grew up these was also referred to as " Hanover" like a potato but when you cooked them smelled like cabbage. Great food source in winter month. I grew up in West Virginia and I always was told they was a Hanover,, Then when i tried looking for this plant i found out different.

Review:

I've been very pleased with this seed two years in a row. Overwintering in Northern California, Collet Vert has proved to be a good grower with very rich flavor. I've always grown Laurentian, but this rutabaga has set a new bench mark.

Review:

I planted these for my fall garden. They all came up, had beautiful roots, and looked like they would grow huge. However when I pulled the roots, they were small to non-existent. It could have been how I fertilized the garden. I used organic fertilizer, but perhaps I used the wrong types. I would give these a 3 out of 5 stars. I'll go back to the traditional purple top variety.
