What are the cons? Very small
No complaints about the plant itself, good flavor, withstood our weird winters with no protection.
However, getting it to germinate was a challenge. Kentucky's fall is often dry and hot up until frost, so by the time the soil cooled enough for the mache to be comfortable, it had little time to grow. I did indoor germination tests and got nearly 100%, so the seed is good. If you have longer, cooler autumns, it will probably do well.
