This one is causing excitement at farmers’ markets. Carrots have bright purple skin and flesh that comes in shades of yellow and orange. Spicy and sweet-tasting roots are great for marketing.

What are the pros? Very large and good flavor

What are the cons? None

Review:

I planted these in late February in a bed that has filtered sun and just harvested the last of them 6/14/17. They were huge. Larger than any carrot I have ever grown in my OKC garden. Out of some 100 carrots, only had 3 or 4 bolt and only 2 split. They out perfomed my Danver's Half Long and Kuroda. Will plant again.

What are the pros? The taste

What are the cons? None

Review:

These are so good. I don't usually like carrots because they have a strong aftertaste. These don't. They aren't as sweet as an orange carrot. I love these!

What are the pros? Easy to grow, great taste

What are the cons? None

Review:

What a wonderful carrot. Germinated nicely and were a great treat. I will be planting triple what I did last year so we have a good supply to last us through the winter. Carrots were a good size and I got lots of compliments on them. Kept well in the fridge.

What are the pros? sweet flavor

What are the cons? none

Review:

We grew this just to see what a purple carrot tasted like. It is so sweet that it has replaced "regular carrots" in our garden. Never cooked one as they get devoured fresh. They love raised beds with " artificial soil".

What are the pros? Color, flavor, easy to grow

What are the cons? None

Review:

These were really easy to grow - plant them and forget about them. Compared to other carrots I tried this year, they had a zesty flavor. They also stored in my refrigerator for months once I cured them.
