What are the cons? Susceptible to wind damage
Outstanding sweet corn. Last summer was our first experience not growing a hybrid and we're never going back. Just as it ripened a huge storm came through and blew over all the corn, so we cut down all the stalks, cut the kernels off the cobs and froze it all. It has been a delicious treat all winter long. Any hybrid we've frozen has been mushy when cooked and just had a flavor that wasn't as good as fresh but this tasted like it fresh off the cob every time. It will be our first choice from here on out. Grateful we found it.
