What are the pros? reliable
What are the cons? none
A lovely cabbage that I've grown for 4-5 years for sauerkraut. Gets quite large, and is very pest-resistant. Getting low on seed, but, alas, it appears to be unavailable at present. I start them in little pots in late September/October, and harvest in February/March.

What are the pros? Great taste - excellent slaw
What are the cons? None
Have a small organic garden in Zone 4 and this was an outstanding performer. It grew lovely next to radicchio and kale, only a few aphids late in season. Folks raved about the slaw made from this and kept great in the fridge. Definitely has earned its place in my small garden.

What are the pros? Great taste
What are the cons? The bugs like it too
Since I do everything organic I have to put up with some bugs. However, peal a few leaves back and its good as new. Great taste and makes the best coleslaw. Highly recommend.

What are the pros? Great early cabbage
Started March 1st and put out April 20th. We had our first cabbage June 10th and even a month later when I picked the last and it weighed 6-7 lbs it was still excellent. This cabbage had a sweetness to it that every one that tried it mentioned. Made fantastic slaw and was the best cooked cabbage I've eaten. This is my new favorite. I started 12 dozen and grew 2 dozen myself and gave the rest away, everybody wants to know what varity and if I'm starting them next year. I had no problems and all my starts made nice 2 lb heads early and-5 lb heads a month later. I grow twice as much fall cabbage as spring but next year i"m trying this one spring and fall.

What are the pros? Easy to grow
What are the cons? Needs some breeding work
Great cabbage and great flavor but i gave it a 3 for overall rating because the seed growers need to do better job in selection. Heirlooms are naturally variable but this strain is a bit of a mess.
