What are the pros?
What are the cons?
I have been growing this type for about 6 years. It is an ancient lettuce from Krakow (hence the name) that gets really really big and is slow to get bitter. The large Romain shaped leaves are a beautiful green going to deep purple. Grows well in both warm and cold conditions and does a great job of self sowing if you let plants go to seed. An asset to any lettuce garden

this is a very good large lettuce that has a real nice flavor the leaves are a red over green in color. I Grow about 191 different varieties of lettuce and this is one of my favorites.
This variety germinated best out of the five other varieties i grew. Crunchy, green & red, somewhat reminds me of Romain lettuce. Slightly bitter. Middle of December now, and still growing stong here in SW Louisiana.
