What are the pros? Full flavor

What are the cons? Small roots

Review:

These beets are of the highest quality for flavor. To me it has a slight raisin or molasses like note. Not the biggest producer. But the flavor more than makes up for that. Also we have had a dry summer, many the reason for small roots?

What are the pros? Best flavored beet ever.

What are the cons? Skin is too tough to eat.

Review:

Much to my surprise some of these beets grew to a huge size -- very fat, not thin like a carrot. The beets were tender and the flavor exceptionally rich. I wish I'd grown more. They were well worth the extra growing time. Can't wait to grow them again next year.

What are the pros? N/A

What are the cons? Didn't germinate

Review:

I was very excited to try this beet (spring 2013) but absolutely none of them germinated. I can't blame this on the soil because my Bull's Blood beets were planted in the same box and did well.

Review:

Planted in fall and overwintered to pull in the spring. Fine flavored and easy to grow. Interesting shape therefore could not mistake what it was.

Review:

This beet is the best! Every year we look forward to our crapaudines! They look like bark when you pull them out of the ground, but are beautiful once peeled. I am in NW Oregon, and they have not perfomed well on cool years, but over winter well.
