What are the pros? Sweet, early, hardy, JUICY!!!

What are the cons? a bit seedy but not so bad

Review:

Last year was my first garden. I got these in the ground on the last day of May, so a month later than recommended in my area. They caught up nicely and produced about 2 melons per plant before the frost (they were gearing up to produce more but I snipped them so they could finish the bigger ones before the freeze. Despite harvesting in late September and missing that prime heat exposure, the melons were remarkably sweet and fragrant! Plus there is a special satisfaction when you get to serve a white watermelon margarita to the person who said you were nuts when you wanted to grow watermelon on a mountain. This year I will be testing these bad boys out on a cattle panel trellis, and I can't wait to see how sweet they can be with the summer heat!

Review:

Picked our first melon today (July 29th). 12.2 pounds of honey sweet juiciness, and cream-colored flesh. Couldn't wait, so had the family over as we cut into it. It's a keeper, and will be planting it again, along with the Orangeglo. Have 3 more melons coming, and the plants' timing looks perfect: small one is just fitting into my palm, bigger, biggest is a softball-sized right now. Ok, plant, take your time cranking them out. I am still savoring this one! =)

Review:

Perhaps the color and name played tricks on my mind, but this watermelon truly does taste a bit creamy! it's also dense and perfumey, for a watermelon. I got about 6 melons from one plant. I will be growing again.

This is the best tasting of all white varieties i tried this year. Zone 6. Suitable for cold climates, but should be covered when becomes too cold.

Review:

I originally tried this melon because I get some cold nights (not unusual for us to dip into the high 40s a number of times in the summer), and tend to do better with "cool climate" watermelons. It has a unique flavor that is much more complex than other watermelons, and is now the standard by which I measure all watermelons. And anyone I've ever shared it with has also been totally amazed. I have now grown it for three years, and it is always the first choice in watermelons. It produced wonderful fruit even during the cool summer we had in 2011. It is also one of the earliest watermelons. In addition, many people are surprised to see a white-fleshed watermelon. ***Highly*** recommended.
