What are the pros? fast growing

What are the cons? very few female flowers-bitter

Review:

I grew this in my greenhouse and it produced a huge vine with a ton of male flowers but only set 3 fruits. They were very bitter, even when peeled.

What are the pros? Huge producer

What are the cons? Bitter

Review:

I had not heard of crystal apple before last yr. This yr. I planted 4 seeds, everyone came up, strong vines, was very excited to see how many and how quickly the cucumber set on. As soon as they had fair size, I picked on and took a big bite, only to discover it was terribly bitter and I have no idea why. That is the only disappointment :( Not recommend these cucumbers unless I cold figure out why they are so bitter, I have lemon and Armenian cucumbers and are quite delicious , I'm stumped !!!

What are the pros? Prolific

What are the cons? none

Review:

Personally I don't like eating cucumber much, but the Crystal Apple cucumber is delicious to me. It is sweet, mildly favour and crispy. The plant is extremely prolific and grow very well under high heat, up to 33, 34 degree Celcius. Trim off the extra leaves to ensure good air circulation. You will get good harvest all season long.

What are the pros? Easy to grow, Prolific

What are the cons? Mildew

Review:

Love this cucumber. Was easy to grow for a first time gardener. It was very prolific, as long as you pick it they seem to keep coming. The family loved it. The kids next door loved it. What more can you ask for? Like most cucumbers though, it did eventually succumb to powdery mildew.
