50 days. Originally from Abundant Life Foundation. Very large, spreading, loose-leaf heads. Leaves are large, wavy-margined, suffused in burgundy. Nutty, crisp texture, bitter-free flavor. Slow to bolt, standing a very long time in the garden. Glorious!

What are the pros? Taste is nicely balanced

What are the cons? Didn't plant enough

Review:

Love this leaf lettuce! This is a gorgeous varietal with a taste that won't disappoint. Colors in the photo are nearly identical to what we produce. Excellent lettuce flavor without being sweet and free of any bitterness or grassiness. Tender texture with a snap at the stem. Easy to grow with high germination rate. Grown in raised bed. Snowed on them just after sprouting and about a month later without undue harm. Zone 8B at 4,500 ft. Highly recommend.

What are the pros? Bitter-Free, Beautiful

What are the cons? leaves are pretty flat

Review:

Beautiful, easy to grow lettuce. It's best feature is that it does live up to it's billing of being bitter-free. Fist lettuce that I've grown in 20 years that has no bitter flavor at all! Love it! It's leaves are fairly flat so you may want to mix with other greens for a "fluffier" salad. I planted Mar. 15th and picked full size leaves on Apr. 30th. That's pretty quick! It went through a late 9 degree frost on Apr. 14th pretty well too.
