Review:

I grew two types this year. This was the first year that I grew eggplant successfully. This was my stand out winner! Good: taste, color, size, growth, maturity, germination and disease resistance! We have some REAL Italian friends I shared them with and they loved them. Small seeds and small seed cavity. Tender, not bitter and actually held on the plants until I could use them. LOVED THEM....They did perfect for my area this year!

Review:

This will be my go to eggplant in my garden in the future! It is a perfect cross between the long Japanese skinny eggplant and the large round ones! Produced lots of eggplants which tasted great! I made them up into eggplant cutlets (recipe in the seed catalog) and froze them to eat all winter. Also sliced and grilled a bunch and froze. Love my eggplant! This one is perfect.

What are the pros? Grows easily from seed

What are the cons? None, so far.

Review:

This is the first time I am trying Diamond. The seeds all germinated quickly and every one of them came up. They look strong and hardy and I can't wait to plant then outside. I live in Massachusetts near the Connecticut line and the Chinese eggplants which I have tried to grow in the past just don't germinate well for me. Diamond is from a colder climate so I am thinking it may be hardier and withstand my limited gardening abilities better! LOL!

Review:

This was the first eggplant I had success with in my southern Wyoming garden. Diced up, the fruits make a wonderful pizza topping with a slightly mushroom like flavor. The plants remained fairly small in my garden and can be planted fairly close together, but then we have a short growing season.
