What are the pros? Great Value

What are the cons? Nothing.

Review:

This Dill is easy to grow and makes big flowers which I used to make dill pickles this fall and they were so delicious. I would break off the heads and eat them while I was gardening quite frequently, wonderful plant to look at, too!

What are the pros? extremely easy to grow

What are the cons? none

Review:

So, I wanted to grow dill for pickles. i broadcast the seed directly into my herb patch and waited. i didn't think my dill was going to come up, so I went to a local nursery and bought a dill seedling. Shortly after I did, my dill came up. And up. Needless to say, I had alot of dill. I gave it away. I froze it in olive oil to use in homemade ranch dressing. I did not get to use it in pickles.(My cucumbers were a wash this year.) I even saved some of the seed. When it got hot and my dill started looking a little ragged, I pulled it thinking that I was all done with dill for the year. Nope. As the temperatures started dropping this fall, I noticed that my dill was back!! So I harvested a little more. I had heard that dill can be aggressive in reseeding itself, but I certainly wasn't expecting this. There was dill even where I hadn't planted it. So be warned - plant it where you can keep it for a long time. The next herb garden is going to be interesting.

What are the pros? Only 1 small bush came up late

What are the cons? Not many seeds sprouted

Review:

This was my first year rare seed gardening. This could have and probably was operator error. Only one plant sprouted up, planted from seed in February ( very hot here). It was 18 inches high. It's still hanging in there in this 120 degree heat of August too.Zone 9a . But just not much of it and it came in very late. I will try to plant it differently next year and see what happens. I had it in a raised bed garden. Maybe I will try a container and try again. I LOVE Baker Creek rare seeds, so will not give up easily til I get it right!

What are the pros? Easy to grow

What are the cons? Aphids

Review:

This dill grows fast and it looks great! I had a problem with aphids attacking it last year, but so far this year it looks really healthy. I added a lot of compost so that could be why.
