What are the pros? A fine cabbage

What are the cons? none

Review:

Direct seeded early spring in my Michigan garden. Plants came up nicely. Grew nicely - not too big. All the plants formed heads and they were spaced out over the season. Heads held very well through the heat of summer allowing me to have all the fresh cabbage I wanted. They finally started to go bad at the beginning of fall. Never expected such a long season. Great flavor.

What are the pros? Sweet flavor, manageable size

What are the cons? I dislike cabbage loopers alot

Review:

This was my first homegrown cabbage, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I was quite pleased with the flavor and hardiness of these plants. The one thing is that they were really hit hard by cabbage loopers until the wasps came to their rescue. If I'd been more active with picking them off and/or applying some good ol' tabasco pest deterrent they might not have been torn up so badly. I'll be growing them again next year.

What are the pros? Great sweet flavor

What are the cons? Takes up more room

Review:

This has been my favorite for making coleslaw. The heads grew to 8" to 10" in diameter. The side leaves spread out to around 3 feet in diameter - takes up a considerable amount of space. Great flavor - can't go wrong with this one. You just need to plan your space ahead of time.

What are the pros? firm head, great favor

What are the cons? none

Review:

I have gardened for forty years, and always go back to this head. They survive some heat, even though they are a cool weather crop. It seems like every seed survives. I have started them in the garden and in the greenhouse, when I had one. The flavor is great, and I have not had an insect problem, growing them organically.
