What are the pros? Decent, interesting

What are the cons? thick rind

Review:

Good flavor balance, interesting, smallish size, relatively thick rind. Nice and cute, but not a prime choice. Orangeglo, for example, is a prime choice.

What are the pros? Vigor, compared other melons

What are the cons? None noted

Review:

We started these seeds on 18 March; they sprouted quickly and we moved them to an outdoor box on 25 April. Then, annoyingly, we had to move that entire box, so there was a bit of a setback. We trellised the plants and just harvested our first fruit on 3 July, which is 107 days total; although if we had gone straight into the final destination I'll bet it would have been closer to 90. Our first fruit was about seven pounds and about volleyball sized. The flesh is a lovely banana yellow and the rind is the thinnest I have ever seen on a watermelon. We were worried that the flavor would be mild because it rained all last week, but it was quite good! We're very, very happy with this melon and look forward to quite a few more since we planted about 6 of these vines. Will definitely grow again next year!

What are the pros? Taste, Appearance, Early

What are the cons? None

Review:

This was the first watermelon that I grew on my own. It was the sweetest and juiciest watermelon I've ever tasted, and I loved the bright yellow flesh. I grew it in a 5 gallon pot and it produced 2 watermelons, one ~3lbs and another that is still on the plant and appears to be ~6lbs. I trellised the watermelon plant on my fence. The plant was free of pest/disease even when the other "melon" plants I grew nearby succumbed to powdery mildew and a caterpillar infestation. Planted seeds on 2/13, germinated in 13 days on 2/25, transplanted watermelon seedling with 4 true leaves from a 0.5 gal to 5 gal pot on 3/16, male flowers began opening on 4/1, First pollinated watermelon on 4/29, picked first watermelon on 6/2 when tendril dried up. I highly recommend this variety.

What are the pros? Taste

Review:

Good for short summer and rainy end of season. It is one of best yellow varieties. It still has sweetness when other yellow watermelons are tasteless after rain.

What are the pros? easy grower, prolific

What are the cons? none

Review:

The seeds were very easy to germinate and plants are healthy, fast growers. Each plant set several fruit which grew to a size between a softball and a small soccer ball. The flesh was tender and sweet with a very mild flavor. Though the flavor was quite mild, they are still very refreshing and enjoyable to eat. I will definitely grow these again due to their ease and high fruit set rate.
