What are the pros? Vigor, compared other melons
What are the cons? None noted
We started these seeds on 18 March; they sprouted quickly and we moved them to an outdoor box on 25 April. Then, annoyingly, we had to move that entire box, so there was a bit of a setback. We trellised the plants and just harvested our first fruit on 3 July, which is 107 days total; although if we had gone straight into the final destination I'll bet it would have been closer to 90.
Our first fruit was about seven pounds and about volleyball sized. The flesh is a lovely banana yellow and the rind is the thinnest I have ever seen on a watermelon. We were worried that the flavor would be mild because it rained all last week, but it was quite good! We're very, very happy with this melon and look forward to quite a few more since we planted about 6 of these vines. Will definitely grow again next year!
