80 days. The fruit are a lovely yellow color, being the shape, size and color of an egg yolk. A tantalizing taste treat just bursting with rich, fruity flavor and all of summer's sweetness. The extra-long vines really amazed us with their productiveness. Developed by Larry Pierce from a sport he found growing in his garden.

What are the pros? Super productive, good taste

What are the cons? Don't keep long

Review:

I've grown these the past couple of years. They provide great yields no matter where I've planted them. They really are about the size and color of an egg yolk. Sweet, but not flavorless and very prolific. Last year I tucked my seedlings into an earthbox that contained old soil with only a little fertilizer added. The year before they were grown in partial shade and still kept producing. They do seem prone to cracking or splitting, but the produce so many tomatoes, you can afford to lose a few. We like them in salads, on top of pizzas or just for snacking. They don't hold as well as some tomatoes once they're ripe, but we really like them and will continue to grow these. This year I had a lot of birds bothering my tomatoes and they seemed to love these. I had cucumber vines on some corner trellises and actually found a bird nest in the tangle of vines.

What are the pros? prolific, sweet

What are the cons? none

Review:

This has been the most prolific tomato I've grown. I planted six plants, and not only are they the tallest and bushiest, but I'm getting bucket fulls every time I pick the garden. This is my sisters new favorite cherry tomato.

What are the pros? Very prolific, Early producer

What are the cons? Too many little tomatoes!

Review:

These were the first tomatoes I planted to start producing and they look like they will be the last to stop this year. They are still producing through the blight that is inevitable for tomatoes in the area, when the rest of my tomato plants are barely managing to ripen the last of the green fruit. Very tall vining plants reached at least 10 feet in fair soil. They produce a ton of small yellow fruit with a lot of taste. They are more acidic tasting than I expected and very tangy. I planted way more than I needed to and learned that next year I only need maybe 2 plants. I have been cooking them down into sauce. Overall a great plant.

What are the cons? none

Review:

Oh my god, I wasn't expecting this. The Egg Yolk Tomato produced I don't know how many - maybe a thousand? - tomatoes last summer. They taste great. I ate them with breakfast, lunch and dinner. They were our favorite variety.

What are the pros? Good yields, attractive yellow

What are the cons? Flavor

Review:

These tomatoes grew well for me and provided great yields. However, of all the varieties I grew, I liked the flavor of these the least.
