The perfect baby vegetable for marketing, this tiny pak choy is picked when just 2 tall! It has dark green, wrinkled leaves with thick, white petioles and can be used whole to make amazing salads and stir-fries! Very tender and delicious!

What are the pros? Easy to grow, deep flavor

What are the cons? Quick to bolt

Review:

I have grown this twice now, and will grow again. They go so quickly and require little but regular watering once they are sown, sprouted, and thinned. Choys in general seem to grow very quickly, and will bolt as soon as you turn your back. I have picked this bolted pak choy and cooked with it, as well as fermented it as kimchi. Its flavor is so rich and deeply green; I'm no scientist but this tastes full of iron, vitamins, and nutrients. I will be planting this again in profusion, but will keep a close eye on it and watch for bolting. This did well in spring and early summer, and seems to tolerate heat better than other leafy greens do.

Review:

These grew great and were great stir fried. Some started flowering before I could use them because I didn't realize how small they actual were. Great for square foot gardening.

What are the pros? Sprouted well

What are the cons? Bolted quickly

Review:

Planted the first of March, it came up nicely and bolted quickly around the first of May. I did get enough for one meal, but that was all. I was surprised as our weather was cooler than usual this spring. I may try again this fall before I give it up completely.

Review:

These little single-serve pak choys are so much fun to grow. I grew an entire nursery tray full exclusively under my grow lights in January and they did fabulously. Harvest was in about 40 days. I currently have a large container in my garden filled with them and they will be ready for harvest in a few days, also at about 40 days. I've been growing about 20-30 plants at a time and I find I need about 8-9 pak choys for a large stir-fry for 3-4 people. I sow them just like radishes, about 3 seeds per planting hole, 2-3" apart, thin when 1-2" tall. They've survived several nights with temperatures below 25 degrees and several days with temperatures above 80 degrees with no problems whatsoever. Thank you, Baker Creek, for offering such an awesome, super fun and delicious plant that grows beautifully and without fuss.

What are the pros? It grows in any weather

What are the cons? I have no dislikes

Review:

This is a fantastic crop. It takes a beating down here in SW Florida and comes out tender and tasty. It does not like to bolt if you give it room to grow. Every part of the plant has a distinct and wonderful flavor. I cant think of another crop that I could possibly recommend more highly.
