Brilliant, golden-yellow blooms are amazingly beautiful with their long, spiked petals on the large heads. Stunning!

What are the pros? Good height, prolific bloomer

What are the cons? Rodents loved it

Review:

Pretty, with the perfect shade of yellow. However, I am down to my last one out of 6 plants, as rodents chewed up leaves and blossoms each night. Gophers ate two plants as well (yanked underground). Maybe something about the scent?

What are the pros? Unique flowers, last long cut

What are the cons? Japanese Beetles love them

Review:

This is a very good cut flower variety. This plant gets tall (at least 36") and makes many nice long stems, if you need them to be so in your arrangements. In my experience, this variety worked best as a cut flower if cut before fully opened and then allowed to open in the arrangements. The blooms are long lasting in the vase and will continue to open fully while in water. The only negative about them (and all marigolds in my experience) is that the Japanese Beetles love eating them. They make a mess of the blooms, so have a beetle trap (or more if needed) an appropriate distance away. Sometimes the beetles love the marigolds more than the traps. Marigolds have always worked well in my gardens as Japanese Beetle trap crops.

What are the pros? Gorgeous flowers

What are the cons? Higher than my roses

Review:

The blooms are absolutely beautiful, but it took them quite some time to bloom and they are really tall plants. They came out to about 2.5-3feet and it's only July now. So this is not a border plant, which is what I had wanted it for.
