What are the pros? Mild flavor, easy to grow

What are the cons? None for our family

Review:

Received this free when we ordered seeds this year (2014). We had radishes five weeks after planting them. The kids love them and we are now replanting for a later summer crop of them. These are much tastier than a grocery store variety. They might keep well, but we ate ours all within a few days so we are not sure.

Review:

Tried these in 2013 and loved them. Grew primarily at the advice of a friend who said if you let radishes flower and leave them in garden, they will deter squash bugs from nearby squash. No squash bugs this year!! I did eat some of the radishes as I thinned the rows, and they were nicely sweet and creamy, with a little bite. These made me understand the custom of eating them for breakfast in Europe! I am planting them again this year, and plan to eat many more of these radishes.

We ordered the seeds on 7/28. Took about 4-5 days for delivery. Planted On 8/2. Had full grown radishes (whole bowl) with evening meal on 9/4. I am very happy. Smallish, sweet, mildly spicy. I flash sauteed the tops and we ate those, too. Very good.

What are the pros? Beautiful, grew fast, spicy

What are the cons? a little spicier than I like

Review:

Ok first off I'm new to radishes, and the total sum of my experience can be summed up by that wilted bunch you see at the chain grocery store. Bland. I didn't know what to expect from these, but I didn't expect the peppery bite! I noticed other reviewers said they were mild so maybe just me. Our Czech exchange student LOVED them and said they're like the ones from home. Near 100% germination, grew super easy in a bathtub filled with a mix of dirt, rotted straw and rabbit poo, and whatever else I've thrown in there. Two unexpected freezes killed back but finally came on. Temps hit 100F several times before they were ready to pick, some pest decimated the leaves, but they still did great.
