What are the pros? Beautiful and Tasty!
What are the cons? Bugs their bottoms... ;P
This squash... If you want a very unique pumpkin that both spooks and delights all who see it and is also delicious, this is the one! Germination was 100% and the plants were very healthy and gave me tons of pumpkins, all different from each other, even though I neglected them a bunch! Let your pumpkins mature so they develop the warts and bumps! Very cool! The bugs do try to drill holes through the bottom, so rotate the squash sometimes until it's ripe, or place it in a bowl or something that lifts it off the dirt until ready for harvest. Made pumpkin pie with this, and it turned out fantastic! Made pumpkin curry and also have put it in a soup. I have several I need to process, but they're still holding on. Planted them in early spring and they were ready in August, so they've been sitting around (outside and inside) and holding up very well. Only a few rotted, because of the bugs drilling holes in their bottoms. Try this one!!!
