A “Giant White” fodder beet that is a mainstay in France as a beet for livestock. Long, pointed white roots with a green collar are sweet and keep well for winter use.

What are the pros? Tastes great

What are the cons? non

Review:

This is one ugly beet! It is kinda hairy looking. I had given up eating beets due to a digestive reaction to the beets for days after. I was informed that it is genetic and most people don't have the problem. I tried golden, white and chiogga beets and found I can eat them! This beet is very sweet and tender and might be my favorite.

Review:

Just picked a Geante Blanche and cooked it to see if it was as good as my favourite beet - Mammoth red mangel. This one is just as good. Very sweet and tender with no sign of fiber. Just delicious cooked like potato and just one feeds the whole family. Easy to grow too. I will definitely keep growing this beet.

I bought these to provide a little greenery for the livestock. They grew large quickly,. I planted them next to my regular beets, and they are huge. The pigs see me coming when I have these in my hands. They love these. great to supplement grain diets. *****
