What are the pros? Reliable, Hardy, Flavourful
What are the cons? None
This was the first leek variety I grew when I began gardening 10 years ago. I have grown other varieties since, and enjoyed them all, but this is the one I keep going back to. Giant Musselburgh Leeks consistently grow to a good size for me, they are hardy and flavourful, and can be harvested well after the first hard frost and snowfall (which in our region, can sometimes happen in September). I start them indoors in March and they hold up well to being transplanted into the garden in May. I always end up with plenty for our family, and plenty to share with others. Recommended!
